The winners of the 3rd BMVI DATA-RUN have been announced. Their ideas give new impetus to intelligent low-emission mobility solutions.

The award went to the “Omnibus Prime” team, which wants to encourage people to use local public transport more with a digital reward system with bonus points.

This prize went to the “Stream” team working on a solution for optimising people's everyday journeys. By using data on current traffic and weather conditions as well as road works, the solution finds the best means of transport for any given situation.

The third hackathon of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), the BMVI DATA-RUN, was held this weekend. For 24 hours, programmers and founders developed innovative Mobility 4.0 solutions. To this end, the Federal Ministry, executive agencies and the cities of Berlin and Bonn granted open access to their valuable data. An expert jury awarded prizes for the best ideas.

The BMVI DATA-RUN takes place within the framework of the mFUND funding programme. By the end of 2020, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure’s mFUND will have provided a total of 150 million euros of financial assistance to digital mobility innovations.
